A Visit to Cartier: The Exhibition at the V&A

Some names speak for themselves. Cartier is one of them.

Since 1847, the Maison has shaped a vision of beauty that feels as fresh today as it did a century ago — refined, daring, and unmistakably modern.

The V&A’s new exhibition, Cartier, The Exhibition, offers a glimpse inside this world.

More than 300 pieces trace the evolution of Cartier’s style: from glittering royal tiaras to bold Art Deco designs, from the colourful whimsy of Tutti Frutti jewels to the fierce elegance of the Panthère.

Drawings, photographs, and design archives reveal how Cartier has always moved ahead of its time - not following fashion, but quietly redefining it.

What strikes you is not just the craftsmanship, but the spirit behind it: a sense of ease, confidence, and invention that never feels forced.

Throughout the exhibition, beauty reveals itself in many forms - a perfect curve, an unexpected stone, a playful motif - always with that Cartier signature: elegance without excess.
