A beautifully made ring from the 1950s, made in England, set with a 2.5 carat emerald-cut aquamarine in platinum.
The stone is a clear, pale blue - light-catching and quietly luminous - held in a fine platinum setting with delicate millegrain edges and a softly pierced gallery beneath.
Each shoulder is set with small antique-cut diamonds, just enough to frame the central stone without distraction.
The balance is classic: crisp but never stark, full of light but never loud.
Marked ‘PLAT’ inside the band, the ring reflects the refined craftsmanship of post-war Britain - a time when design moved toward clarity, subtle proportion, and timeless elegance.
This is a ring that sits comfortably on the hand. Its presence is gentle but unmistakable - suited to those who favour subtle colour and thoughtful detail.
It wears beautifully on its own or alongside a slim wedding band, and would be as at home with a cashmere sweater as it would with evening silk.
Currently size N½, and can be resized if needed.
Available exclusively at ELTONS, Grays Antique Market, Mayfair, London.
