A striking British signet ring made in 1901, set with a uniquely double banded agate stone and mounted in 18ct gold.
The agate is beautifully cut into a crisp shield shape, and the two natural parallel double bands run diagonally across it.
The 18ct gold shoulders are lightly engraved with scrollwork.
The ring bears full English hallmarks: an anchor for Birmingham, a crown and “18” for 18ct gold, and the date letter “b” for 1901.
