Designed by Archibald Knox for Liberty & Co. in the early 20th century, this pendant is a true example of British Art Nouveau at its most refined.

The setting is sculpted in 18 carat gold, and the form is unmistakably Knox - clean, flowing lines with subtle Celtic influence and a complete rejection of excess.

At its centre sits a vivid turquoise cabochon, naturally marked with matrix that brings organic colour and contrast to the gold’s soft gleam.

A natural pearl drop is suspended beneath, adding gentle movement and visual balance.

It was created as part of Liberty’s Cymric range, an exclusive line of fine jewellery that combined high craftsmanship with artistic vision during one of Liberty’s most creative periods.

Unmistakably the work of a designer with purpose and identity, Knox’s jewellery is highly sought-after today for this reason: it doesn’t just reflect its era, it helped define it.

A rare surviving example of early 20th-century design history, made by one of Britain’s most influential modernist designers.

In excellent condition—both wearable and collectible.

Chain not included.

Available exclusively at ELTONS, Grays Antique Market, Mayfair, London.
