A wonderful Victorian cross pendant from England, c.1880, carved in banded agate with a natural white vein running through the stone. 

At the centre, an X motif is set with old cut diamonds in silver over gold, a typical setting technique of the period.

The pendant is completed with an 18ct gold mount, and the reverse opens to reveal a hinged locket compartment.

Approximate measurements 6 × 5cm.
