Ceylon Sapphire & Diamond Cluster Ring | 1.67ct Sapphire with 1ct Old European Cuts | English c.1920s

POA

An exceptional antique cluster ring, crafted in 18 carat gold and set with a richly coloured 1.67 carat Ceylon sapphire at its heart - accompanied by a certificate confirming its natural origin.

The sapphire is a beautifully faceted oval cut, with the classic glow and silkiness characteristic of fine stones from Sri Lanka: vibrant, open, and alive with colour.

Surrounding the sapphire is a halo of old European cut diamonds, totalling approximately 1.00 carat.

Each diamond is carefully set in platinum, bringing out their brilliance and adding a cool contrast to the warmth of the gold.

The diamonds are graded H–I in colour, with SI1–SI2 clarity, bright, clean stones with soft fire and antique character.

The proportions are striking but wearable, with the cluster held by fine platinum claws and a softly tapering gold band.

The combination of the lively central sapphire and the glowing antique diamonds creates a ring full of contrast, harmony, and presence.

Made in England, and likely dating to the 1920s, this is a refined and romantic piece, currently a UK ring size N½.

Elegant enough for an engagement ring, yet bold enough to stand alone as a statement, it’s a jewel that carries both heritage and heart.
