A rare Dutch cluster ring dating to around the 1820s, crafted in 14 carat gold with a silver topped setting, a classic construction of the period.
The centre holds a high domed rose cut diamond, foil backed and closed set, surrounded by fourteen smaller rose cuts in a tight floral arrangement.
The stones are mounted in silver, enhancing their brightness against the warmth of the gold.
The band is detailed with fine hand engraving along the shoulders and finished with a pierced gallery beneath the head, allowing light to reflect subtly behind the stones.
The ring has all the hallmarks of early 19th century Dutch craftsmanship, clearly rooted in the Georgian style but with its own character.
A piece just as wearable and collectible nearly two centuries later.
Ring size L½.
