There’s vintage Italian glamour, and then there’s Calderoni.
Made in Milan circa 1950s by the legendary jeweller Calderoni - founded in 1840 and long regarded as one of Italy’s finest ateliers - this ring embodies refined mid-century luxury with a bold, modernist spirit.
Set in 18 carat yellow gold with a platinum top, it centres on a 1.25 carat fire opal, alive with golden-orange brilliance.
The stone flashes with warmth and depth, offset by a halo of rose-cut diamonds (approx. 0.10 carats) that add texture and light without overwhelming the central gem.
The setting is unmistakably Italian: confident, sculptural, and perfectly proportioned.
Its slightly domed form feels both architectural and organic - a balance Calderoni mastered.
Stamped 18K CALDERONI, this ring is a testament to Milanese craftsmanship and timeless design. It measures approx. 1cm across the top and is currently a UK size N½.
A rare piece from a storied house, and one that wears as beautifully now as it did over 70 years ago.
Available exclusively at ELTONS, Grays Antique Market, Mayfair, London.
