Citrine Necklace | Openwork 18ct Gold Scroll Links & Golden Glow | Italian c.1950s

POA

A radiant Italian necklace from the 1950s, crafted in 18ct gold and set with approximately eighteen carats of glowing golden citrines.

The design is all about rhythm and restraint, each citrine is spaced by an openwork gold scroll link, pierced and sculpted with precision to let light through and give the necklace breath.

The citrines are rich in tone - warm amber-gold with natural depth - while the stylised scroll motifs bring softness and structure.

There’s a subtle play between bold colour and negative space that makes the piece feel light, wearable, and balanced.

The 18ct gold links are marked 750, confirming its Italian origin and fine mid-century craftsmanship.

It sits just above the collarbone at 44cm, close enough to feel deliberate, yet open enough to glow.

Elegant but never stiff, it’s the kind of piece that needs no embellishment - just golden stones, thoughtful design, and timeless Italian confidence.

Available exclusively at ELTONS, Grays Antique Market, Mayfair, London.
