A beautifully sculpted Edwardian ring, hallmarked in Birmingham in 1903 and set in 18ct gold.
At its centre are two near identical cabochon opals in strong claw settings, so closely matched in tone and fire that a typical three or five stone layout might have disrupted their symmetry.
They are framed by eight bright old cut diamonds, totalling approximately 0.20 carats.
The goldwork is refined, the proportions balanced, and the result is both timeless and beautifully wearable today.
