Ruby, Pearl & Diamond Necklace | Calibré-Set Circle Motif | French, Belle Époque c.1905
A beautiful Belle Époque necklace, likely French and made around 1905 - elegant, finely crafted, and full of quiet drama.
The platinum pendant is shaped like a stylised flower or snowflake, with soft openwork lines and a halo of old-cut diamonds, totalling 1.5 carats.
They catch the light with every movement set in delicate millegrain to add shimmer and texture.
Around the centre sits a perfect circle of calibré-cut rubies - around 40 points in total - vivid, precise, and full of colour, set so tightly they appear seamless.
Each point of the pendant is tipped with a luminous natural pearl, with another pearl at the centre.
The effect is balanced and graceful, bold in shape but delicate in detail.
The pendant measures 3cm across and hangs from a fine platinum chain, 44cm in length, so it sits just at the collarbone.
it is light, wearable, and beautifully proportioned, and feels as relevant now as it would have at the turn of the century.
Romantic, refined, and quietly unforgettable - a true piece of the Belle Époque.
