An elegant and unusual diamond cluster ring, crafted in rich 18 carat gold and dating to the Victorian era, around the 1880s.
At its centre sits a bright old-cut diamond, surrounded by a circular formation of eight smaller stones, all set within a delicate openwork gallery that radiates outward in a striking, symmetrical design.
Rather than a solid cluster, the ring features finely pierced gold between the stones, a construction that gives the ring a sense of lightness and movement.
The result is a design that feels architectural yet refined, with just the right amount of air and space to let the diamonds catch the light.
With a total diamond weight of approximately 0.40 carats, and a clean vintage 18CT hallmark, this ring is a beautifully preserved example of late 19th-century English jewellery, full of detail, quietly expressive, and made to endure.
Currently a UK size Q, it is a timeless and elegant antique ring.
Available exclusively at ELTONS, specialists in antique jewellery, London – based at Grays Antique Market, Mayfair.
